With Autumn upon us, wouldn’t it be nice to add some autumnal colours to your wardrobe in the form of lightweight sweaters, cardigans and pashminas?. Instead of the usual black and grey sweaters, cardigans and scarves, how about trying reds, browns and oranges?
Think of the colours associated with Autumn. The trees adourn leaves of reds, golds, browns and oranges. Think about the colour of Halloween Pumpkins. Why don’t you apply some of these autumn colours to your own unique colour palette in the form of lightweight sweaters, cardigans or pashminas. There are various online companies that provide theses items in your ideal colours.
Having a colour analysis will help determine which red, brown or orange is the best for you to wear. If you have a ‘deep’ colouring, such as Catherine Zeta Jones, a scarlet red, chocolate brown or pumpkin orange sweater, cardigan or pashmina would look amazing on you. If you have a ‘warm’ colouring, like the actress Julianne Moore, then sweaters, cardigans or scarfs in an orange red, oatmeal brown and terracotta orange would be very flattering.For the more mature lady, with ash or grey tones to her hair and pink undertones to her skin, a blue red, taupe brown and a spruce green (rather than an orange tone) cashmere sweater wouldn’t go amiss.If your colouring is more soft’, such as Kylie Minogue’s, then a cardigan, sweater or pashmina in geranium red, rose brown and a sage green (as opposed to orange) would add harmony and balance to your natural look
.Teaming the right jewellery to your autumn knitwear will add a bit of sparkle, and as a general rule of thumb, silver, white gold and platinum look great on ‘deeps’ (think of Catherine Zeta Jones, Monica Bellucci) and ‘Cools’ (Judi Dench, Honor Blackman)
Yellow gold looks better on ‘warms’ such as Anne Robinson and Julianne Moore, as well as ‘Softs’ such as Kylie Minogue and Kate Moss.So go ahead and spruce up your autumn knitwear in the natural colours of the season. Wearing colour will make you look healthier and younger plus you’ll feel more confident about yourself.
